The greatest text adventure in history is playable now. Management has checked. There is no close second.
(Salt Lake City, Utah) October 27, 2026: Warner Empire, LC, in association with Totally Not A Label, today announced An Empire of One Raven, a text adventure game of unprecedented scope, consequence, and production value. Chapter One: The Message is playable now. It has never been seen before. Once it has been seen, it will never be seen again, because nothing that comes after it will be worth looking at.
The official trailer. Narrated by the empire. The goat was not consulted. The raven's review, in full: “The raven knows.”
The stakes are total. The message never arrived. The brothers never came. One raven stayed. Until now, that story could only be told. Now it can be played, and together, we can save the empire.
An Empire of One Raven ships with features the industry will spend years failing to copy:
· Nine fully realized locations, every one of them a real place on the map of the empire.
· A goat that lies to the player in real time, with no loading screens between the lies.
· A raven that knows everything, rendered at full knowledge.
· Unlimited blaming, included at no additional cost, forever.
· Graphics beyond current technology: words, and some pictures.
· A raccoon who has your stuff.
· A stone.
“We have built the greatest text adventure in history,” said management. “No further questions.”
“I designed this game,” said the goat, who did not. “Every word of it. The raven works for me. The ban is discrimination, and this game proves it, probably.” The goat's statement has been recorded, filed, and ignored, in that order.
The raven, asked for comment, issued the following statement.
Response from the Raven
I have read the goat's account of this game with great interest, and I congratulate him on his new career in fiction. Every empire needs a storyteller. Ours cannot be trusted near a trough, a table, or the truth, but management works with what the hill provides.
The goat remembers delivering the message. The hill remembers standing empty. One of these memories has never left its post. The other was at the table, eating, during the hours in question. I will not ask the public to choose. The public has eyes. The public saw the hill.
The goat is lying. He was lying at the trough, he was lying at the table, and he is lying now, in better handwriting.
For a creature so wronged, he eats remarkably well. Three meals a day at a trough he calls a prison. If this ban has injured him, it has injured him almost entirely in the direction of lunch.
I am further told that he wrote the songs, built the game, and founded the empire. It comforts management to learn that so much was achieved by an employee we have never once been able to find during an emergency.
I wish the band luck, and I wish Horns of Hatred every success a dive bar can hold. I wish the goat a shorter queue at the trough, so he can get back to the important work of being believed by no one.
The standard is still standing. I am still on it. The empire endures, and it will still be here when the goat's version of events has been eaten. The raven knows.
The seal of the Raven, affixed at the standard.
Chapter One: The Message is playable now at warnerempire.com/adventure. The empire it depicts can be surveyed in full at the Map of All the References. Parts of the map have been eaten by the goat. This has only made the game bigger.
The standard is still standing. The raven is still on it. Be there. The goat already is, unfortunately.
